“The valley floor asks for just one thing, I feel. That we love it in silence, but that we love it all the same. I love you, valley floor, may the mist bring comfort!” Alix Fournier-Pittaluga and Paul Francesconi, episode 2 “Growing Up”
Inheriting the Mists is the story of a theatre company, made up of contemporary actors and playwrights, who attempt to recreate the adventure of the Théâtre du Peuple, 130 years after its founding. It is a theatrical series in six episodes. It is a quest to try to understand what a utopia is and what a utopia can mean for us today. It features many friendships and passions, ghosts, two world wars, the village of Bussang, love stories, family sagas, countless crises, countless reconciliations, trees, landscapes... and performances, lots of performances.
