FAMILY WALK - PIC DES CORBEAUX CIRCUIT

Pic des Corbeaux circuit (Municipality of Fresse-sur-Moselle).
Duration: 2h.
Difficulty: medium (family walk with children).
Lenght: 4.5 kilometers.
Elevation : +130 meters.
Markings: red disc and blue ring.
Places of interest: the Chapelle des Vés, historical and landscape heritage of the Upper Moselle Valley and the Pic des Corbeaux and its lovely panorama of the surrounding mountains.
Departure: parking lot at the Chapelle des Vés.
Access: From Le Thillot, follow direction "Le Ménil" and turn right just before Intermarché. Go up the road for 3 kilometers.
Description of the route:
From the car park, go down towards the chapel. Continue on the road in the direction of "Chemin du Draimont".
Do not take the direction "Chemin de Clairefontaine", dead end road.
Continue for 100 meters and take the road on the left towards the "Bergerie du Draimont" and follow the red disc markup. The road overlooks the valley and offers pretty panoramas.
You can see the Ballon d'Alsace in front of you and further on the Ballon de Servance with its relay.
You walk past the village of Fresse-sur-Moselle. Continue for 1.4 km, always following the red disc.
Arrived at the "Bergerie du Draimont", continue on the dirt track for 200 meters following the markings red disc. At the intersection, turn right following the red disc and blue ring markings.
We are getting closer and closer to the Ballon de Servance with its relay.
After 300 meters, take the right path at the edge of the forest marked with a blue ring. Passage near the chalet des chasseurs du Pic des Corbeaux.
Continue on the marked blue ring trail through the ferns. It climbs with a strong vertical drop over 200 meters.
Arrived at the rock of the Pic des Corbeaux, you can admire a breathtaking view of Le Thillot, Fresse-sur-Moselle on your left and Ramonchamp in the background.
After this stop, continue the walk on the path which climbs through the ferns.
Once in the forest, follow the blue ring markers then the path climbs with a steep drop in 200 meters.
Continue on the path for another 100 meters following the blue ring markers.
Arrived in the pastures at the exit of the forest, enjoy a nice point of view on the pass where the Chapelle des Vés is located. Continue on the path which begins a steep descent for 200 meters to finish the walk and find the starting point.
