Access: From Le Thillot, follow direction "Le Ménil" and turn right just before Intermarché. Go up the road for 3 kilometers.
Description of the route:
From the Chapelle des Vés car park, walk down the road towards the chapel.
At the chapel, continue along the road following the signs for “Chemin du Draimont”. Do not take the Chemin de Clairefontaine, which is a dead end.
After approximately 100 m, take the road on the left and follow the red disc trail markers. The road offers beautiful views over the valley. Opposite, you can see the Ballon d’Alsace and, further away, the Ballon de Servance with its telecommunications tower. Continue along this road, which later becomes a track, for 1.6 km, still following the red disc.
Stay on the route marked with the red disc until you reach the junction, where you will find the blue ring trail markers. Take the path on the right towards the Pic des Corbeaux, following the blue ring markers. You will pass close to the Pic des Corbeaux hunters’ lodge (closed). Continue along the blue ring trail through the ferns.
At the first junction, continue straight ahead. Just 100 m further on, at the fork, take the path on the right, following the blue ring markers.
When you reach the rocks of the Pic des Corbeaux, enjoy the beautiful view over Le Thillot and Fresse-sur-Moselle, with Ramonchamp in the background. Then take the path climbing through the ferns.
When you emerge from the ferns, join the track and turn right. Continue along this track, following the blue ring markers. The trail climbs steeply here. On leaving the forest, you will reach open pastures with a lovely view over the Chapelle des Vés area.
Continue along the path, which descends steeply to the road, then follow the road back to the starting car park.
