A cycling gathering will pay tribute to René Pottier at the Ballon d’Alsace, marking the 120th anniversary of his feat on this legendary mountain pass and the return of the Tour de France to the Vosges mountains.
Organised by enthusiasts, the event invites cyclists to climb the summit at their own pace before a ceremony at the foot of the memorial dedicated to the winner of the 1906 Tour.
Around a hundred participants are expected, along with several guests linked to the rider’s history.

This tribute will take place a few days before the 2026 Tour de France passes through the Ballon d’Alsace on 17 and 18 July
