Presentation

Through fantastical tales, come and discover the history of this iconic site in the company of magical creatures such as the Knocker, who is said to have taught the miners how to use black powder to good effect. Meet the Sotré, a mischievous being, and many other characters who are said to have been spotted in our mines as recently as this.

Suitable for ages 5 and over.

Sturdy footwear essential. Booking essential by telephone. Meet at 6.30 pm.

Daytime mine tours available 7 days a week from 1 April to 30 September 2026.
