Presentation

The Thillot is located in the heart of the Massif des Vosges, 10 km away from the Ballon d’Alsace and the Ballon de Servance.

The town is at the crossroad of the national road 66 (Mulhouse - Nancy) and the departmental road 486 (Franche-Comté – La Bresse-Gérardmer).

Copper mining dates back to 1560 and lasted until 1761. The guided tour of the mine area helps to understand the organization of the site, and the House of the Hautes Mynes makes you discover the history of the mines and their archaeological rediscovery.
